5 Stunning SHAREaCAMPER motorhomes to Snuggle Up in This Winter

New Zealand Camping and Skiing in Winter

Discover the breath-taking mountain resorts and prepare yourself for the winter holiday of a lifetime. New Zealand’s South Island is home to three main ski areas. In the North Island you can even ski on an active volcano at Mt Ruapehu, which also happens to be New Zealand’s largest commercial ski area.

The 2016 season kicks off both in the South (including Coronet, Cadrona, Treble Cone, Mt Hutt) and North Islands (Whakapapa, Turoa) in June and July.

To mark the opening of the ski season, the Queenstown Winter Festival is held in the middle of June each year. The festival sees an action packed calendar of festivities around the ski fields.

Booking a campervan for your skiing holiday means you usually get a much better deal on our motorhomes over winter, which makes winter holidays become more affordable for the entire family.
