QUEENSLAND:

BEDOURIE AND UTE TRAVELLERS’ MUSTER
September 10
Coinciding with the annual Bedourie Races, this Ute and Travellers’ muster sees rev heads from around Australia competing across in a wide range of vehicles including utes, motorhomes and 4WDs.

MONTO DAIRY FESTIVAL
September 18-25
Take the time to appreciate the diversity and innovation of our nation’s agriculture through workshops, interactive displays and a festival parade. Activities and events run throughout the week.

OPENING OF OUTBACK ENTERTAINMENT CENTRE
October 2nd
Opening the Stockman’s Hall of Fame Outback Entertainment Centre in Longreach is none other than Australian Country Music Legend, Lee Kernaghan and the Wolfe Brothers. The gates open from 4:30pm with bar and catering onsite until late.

SUPERCARS CASTROL GOLD COAST 600
October 21st
Head on over to the sunny Gold Coast for the annual Castrol Supercars event. See the Supercars race along the streets of Surfer’s Paradise as well as the Super Trucks in Robby Gordon’s Stadium with live entertainment throughout the event.

BROKEN HEEL FESTIVAL
September 9-11
Celebrate the birthday of iconic Australian film, Priscilla Queen of the Dessert, with a full program of fabulously flamboyant events centering around the notorious Palace Hotel, Silver City and Silverton Hotel as seen in the film. Broken Hill will never be the same.

WOOLGOOLGA CURRYFEST
September 24
Enjoy the best of the Punjabi history of Woolgoolga with a beachside festival as you celebrate with over 150 stalls featuring curry, treats, crafts and mindfulness workshops, entertainment and rides for the family.

SUPERCARS SUPERCHEAP AUTO BATHURST 1000 – BATHURST
October 6-9
Join motoring enthusiasts from around Australia, in Bathurst, the home of V8 racing for the 1000km endurance track. With four heart stopping days of racing through mountainous terrain, this is one not to be missed. With kids under 12 free of charge, why not take the whole family?

MILDURA COUNTRY MUSIC FESTIVAL
September 23- October 2
This event is the 20th Southern Stars of Country Music Awards and to commemorate, will see 70 unsigned artists performing at 26 venues throughout Mildura. Come along and celebrate independent Australian artists and the uniqueness that is Australian country music.

HORSHAM AGRICULTURAL SHOW
September 25
Take in an authentic country Australian show with events such as dog high jump, food and wine tasting, a stockman’s challenge, BMX stunt competition and sheep sheering competition. The whole family will find something to love about the Horsham Agricultural Show.

MORNINGTON PENNINSULAR HINTERLAND SCARECROW FESTIVAL AND TRAIL
September 16- October 3
This event is best shared with the family or a group of friends as you jump in the car and follow the Scarecrow Touring Trail. With scarecrows varying from traditional styles to iconic Australian expressions, you can compete in the online interactive game as you go and win prizes!

TASMANIA

AUSTRALIAN ANTARCTIC FESTIVAL
September 8-11
Here you can experience the exceptional Aurora Australis from L’Astrolabe, walk through a replica of Mawson’s Hut and learn about the state of the art research from the Institute for Marine and Antarctic studies with a range of expressions including photographic exhibitions, lectures and films.

TASMANIAN TROUT EXPO
September 17-18
Compete for over $10,000 in prize money as Anglers bring their A-game to catch the Tagged Trout title. Aside from fishing, there is plenty to do at Brumby’s Creek during the expo with picnic grounds, food stalls and camping grounds at the Cressy Recreation Ground.

October 19-22
Come along and experience country life and carnival joy at its best. With side show alley, agricultural competitions, petting zoos and displays, you can be sure that every member of the family will be pulling in different directions.

SOUTH AUSTRALIA

LOWER LAKES STOCKMANS CHALLENGE AND BUSH FESTIVAL
September 16-18
Have you ever wanted to see a real life cattle drive? Well at this festival, you can watch as some of the most Aussie drovers around move cattle through rough terrain to win the title of Legend of the Lower Lakes. As you watch, you can enjoy a ute muster, live shows and authentic camp oven dishes.

KANGAROO ISLAND ART FEAST
September 29 – October 3
At this art festival, you can take in a wide range of festivities with more than 150 local artists, distillers, fermenters and chefs across the island. The event was established by a not-for-profit organization initiated by Fine Artist, Peter Walker.

CEDUNA OYSTERFEST
September 30 – October 2
Celebrating all things oysters, learn from the industry’s best with cooking and preparation classes. Stroll through the festival and try your hand at shucking while you enjoy local art, wine and entertainment.

WESTERN AUSTRALIA

SHINJU MATSURI FESTIVAL
September 11-18
On the beautiful shores of Broome, celebrate the history of Broome’s pearling industry that brought cultures from Japan, China, Malaysia, the Philippines and Europe all to the one place. Try the now ‘local delights’ of this multicultural city with influences from around the world.

ZEST FESTIVAL
September 17-18
This Kalbarri festival is influenced by the voyages of the Dutch East India Company, exploring the town’s multicultural inspiration. Enjoy live music, local art, community workshops and films that each expresses their history in a different way.

BINDOON HISTORIC VEHICLE DAY
September 18
Among the wildflower Spring bloom of WA, see an array of 20th Century automobiles with stalls, art shows and beautifully restored vintage cars.

DARWIN INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL
September 14-21
Bring along your deckchair and your love of the arts with 12 alternate international films screened across the week, plus workshops, screen culture talks and pop up screenings around Darwin.
